An EICR or Condition Report is a certificate issued by a qualified Electrician showing that your property is electrically safe, Rented properties are required by law to have these and private homes are advised to get them for safety. West Wales Electrical Solutions are fully qualified to issue these certificates after we complete the necessary tests.

An EICR can vary a lot in time depending on how many consumer units and circuits you have as well as circuit identification, if the existing circuits aren't labelled it can take time to identify them, on average it takes about an hour to test 1 consumer unit + 15mins per circuit so a small house with 6 or less circuits may only take a cou
An EICR can vary a lot in time depending on how many consumer units and circuits you have as well as circuit identification, if the existing circuits aren't labelled it can take time to identify them, on average it takes about an hour to test 1 consumer unit + 15mins per circuit so a small house with 6 or less circuits may only take a couple of hours whereas a large commercial property with many circuits could take days.

We carry out all the tests required to make sure your home is completely safe and protected, this means removing all plugs and light bulbs and turning all the power off to properly test all circuits, we do this by testing continuity to each point in the house and flooding each circuit with 500v which tells us the condition of the insulati
We carry out all the tests required to make sure your home is completely safe and protected, this means removing all plugs and light bulbs and turning all the power off to properly test all circuits, we do this by testing continuity to each point in the house and flooding each circuit with 500v which tells us the condition of the insulation on each circuit.
We also test the supply coming in to the house and any protective bonding.

During the testing period and for a short period after we use tablets or phones to record all the data we receive onto a certificate that you receive promptly after we complete the testing (usually within 2 days). We usually send a digital copy via email but we can post a paper copy if required.

Fire Alarms are a legal requirement in all rented properties and provide peace of mind knowing if anything happens you or your tenants will have plenty of warning. We install fire alarms in domestic properties up to and above the legal standard, we can design, install and test a hard wired alarm system customised for your needs.

Depending on what's in the room there are a few different types of alarms for domestic houses, the most common, mainly used in halls and landings are smoke alarms, then mainly in kitchens you can get heat alarms and in any room with a combustion source (fireplace/boiler etc) you have monoxide alarms.

Sometimes it's impossible or overly complicated to wire up a new smoke alarm circuit, this is where we provide radio linked alarms that can link into existing light or power circuits saving time and money on installation.
